Entry requirements
- Education — Successful completion of the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or its superseded equivalent
- Pre-training review — a course suitability interview covering your goals and support needs
- LLN assessment — confirms you have the foundation skills for the course
- Technology access — computer or tablet with internet for AWT’s online LMS
- Placement checks — screening clearances (e.g. National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening or Working With Children Check as applicable) and First Aid before placement

What’s the difference between the Certificate III and the Diploma?
The Certificate III qualifies you as an educator; the Diploma prepares you to lead rooms, design curriculum, supervise other educators and manage service compliance.
Can I study the Diploma after finishing my Certificate III at AWT?
Yes — successful completion of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or superseded equivalent) is the entry requirement, and many AWT graduates progress directly into the Diploma.
