Course overview

This course equips you with the advanced skills and knowledge to support individuals, families, and communities — preparing you for meaningful roles in case management, community development, and social support services.

You will learn how to

Entry requirements

  • Education — Completion of Year 12 (Senior Secondary Certificate) or equivalent, or an Australian AQF Certificate IV (or higher) qualification
  • Pre-training review — a course suitability interview covering your goals and support needs
  • LLN assessment — confirms you have the foundation skills for the course
  • Technology access — computer or tablet with internet for AWT’s online LMS
  • Placement checks — screening clearances (e.g. National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening or Working With Children Check as applicable) and First Aid before placement
